By sheer luck, I've always lived at the top of hills, so aside from a burst water tank, during the freezing cold winter in Scotland of 1995) have never experienced real flooding - thank goodness, as it must be dreadful!

Got gardeners in at the moment with chainsaws trimming down the huge laurel trees, forming the perimeter of our garden... It's a job we've been meaning to do for ages, and which will allow much more light into the garden, subsequently enabling us to grow some produce in that area, which will be turned into a vegetable patch.

Going to be getting some chickens too (for fresh eggs), and create a chicken run, which will be one of our (many) projects for the summer!

    Marco.
