    Do you see many Navy ships down there, i know a few are stationed there at times?

    Yes indeed when we owned a sailing boat we saw many Navy ships in the Solent... the best was the huge US aircraft carrier, can't remember which one it was .. it was huge and took an age to sail past... their 'security' ship tracking us all the way

    As the old Scandinavian saying goes “there’s no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes” - well, storm Dennis has done his best but we won’t let him ruin our now traditional February long weekend in the Capital. Typical that last year the sun was shining when we did the lower decks of HMS Belfast, but returning to complete the upper decks it is blowing a hoolie and persisting it down. Still, this is a must-do visit if you haven’t been. Incredible to imagine what the sailors endured at sea, let alone at war, so we’re not complaining about a bit of wind and rain and utmost respect to those that served aboard this amazing ship.
