    Default Hello from Kent

Came across this forum via an life long interest in Nytech Equipment.
Started in the early 1980s with a passive CTA 252 and ARC 101 speakers.
Been through all the possible Nytech variations including passive/active and ARC 050/101( Mk 1 and Mk2 )/102/202.
Now have an active Nytech set up with CA 252S CXA 252 and pair of ARC 202 speakers.
Pleased to hear from anybody with an interest in Nytech over the years.

    Hi Fred
    Welcome to AOS
Many years ago I had a Nytech 252 until it finally bit the dust
Fantastic amp it gave much more expensive amps a run for the money.
    Enjoy the forum Fred.

Hi all and thanks.Equipment supplying the music is an Linn LP12 Ittok Azaka, Linn CD and a Cambridge Audio internet streamer.
The hardest thing to track down was the ARC 202 speakers, took me 20 years and then a pair surfaced just down the road from me.
Do have another Nytech CA252 modified by "firebottle".
Would be interested in what modifications have been done to it should he come across this post.
Appears to be an upgrade of the terminals on the rear panel but the 5 pin din amp/preamp has vanished and it cannot be used actively.

At last someone with some good gear..

All started in 1980s with a basic passive CTA 252 system and Rega 2. Chums all had the A&R Cambridge amp.
The only two major improvements in the following 40 years was outing the MM Rega 2 and replacing with a MC Linn LP12 ............. then going active.
    Everything else was minor.
Did waver at bit into the "alleged" greener grass of Naim and Meridian but soon returned to the true path after a year or two.
Just a quick mention for Phil at Nytech in Wales who has been incredibly helpful regards info on old Nytech stuff.
Shame their new stuff is way way out of my price bracket.
