Plenty of power., grip on bass and surprisingly good on the highs - the NS1000 never seems harsh at all at all.
Shahrin could you possibly post a link to the tpa3225 amp you use please?

this is the one from Yuan Jing https://www.yuan-jing.com/tpa3255-hi...board-315w-x-2

    then i got this one

    https://www.lazada.com.my/products/k...8BD7n&search=1

as i mentioned they are visually and sonically identical.
you may also consider this from 3e , and they also do a monoblok version

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/333125278726

    use 48V 600w(or greater) psu

i have ordered this lower powered version the TPA 3250 which i may use in another 3 way active project.
This one abt 30wpc i think but all it needs is a simple PSU that is supplied as a package

    https://www.lazada.com.my/products/f...611202171.html

and there is also the 3251

I d be interested in what amp or amps you go for, Martin.
there s lotsa discusion on diyaudio abt these amps.
A friend visited me recently - now he has been a major tinkerer with earlier generations esp the 3116 - and admitted that diyers get into a frenzy abt replacing this bit and that bit after someone in the forum reports an 'improvement'.
He was pretty astounded by what an untweaked cheap Chinese TPA3255 can do in my semi active set when handling the High Pass , and when driving the stock standard Ns1000.
His conclusion was that it doesnt need any tweaks !

I'm leaning towards this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000...c00QzhoWg&mp=1 at the moment, but haven't yet pulled the plug. I'll update the thread when I decide.

Unfortunately a build is out of the question as I just don't have the knowledge or the confidence

I have one of the tpa 3116d2 amps but the gain is really too high for me , hence the need for something different.

I'm also ordering one of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FX-AUDIO-...91d0%7Ciid%3A1 to try with my 405-2 amp.

    Apologies for the thread drift

Not exactly cheap, but the modwright kw200 integrated amp is a great match the best ns1000 rig i have heard was driven by this amp.

    Hi Sharin,
you suggested a smps psu for the TPA3255. Do you feel it is better than a linear power supply ? I have been looking at these and somehow similar wattage rating for linear PSU are not obvious. Do you have a suggestion for linear PSU if I would. go down that path ?

    Hi Abraham
Yes. An electronics engineer friend of mine tells me that these new amps are relatively insensitive to the vagaries of smps, but then went on to say that a good linear PSU could or should
    bring sonic benefit.
There s a chap on diyaudio on this thread Daniboun who has made a 40v linear PSU and put the torroid and big caps in a tea box !
    https://www.diyaudio.com/forums/clas...n-etc-170.html
i dont have the know how to build one of these so i am quite happily stuck with my Meanwell 48V 600W smps.
I am using my TPA3255 to drive the High Pass in my semiactively driven NS1000 upgrade ie its handling the 'highs' and it does a damn good job of it.

last time i heard the yammies playing it was with THE most humungus valve amps !!! i am not sure the sugden would sound good on them but i might be wrong , i find the sugden a21se to be very fast and incisive but i might be wrong . it was too much of a good thing with my impulse taus
