Hard Disk Music Players

Hi,

I have a Novafidelity X40 which is essentially a HDD music player. I love the convenience but it is a little glitchy in operation and using a conventional HDD makes it really slow once there is 1TB+ of music. I don’t know if it is worth putting up with its foibles and investing in an SSD (it does sound rather nice all things considered), or if I should save up for an alternative.

Please don’t recommend streaming as my old house is pretty solid and blocks Wi-Fi wonderfully.

Any advice is gratefully received.

Ive swapped out my old Hard Drives for samsung Evo SSD. Way faster in every respect.
