For sale: 12 inch Jelco TK-850L tonearm, immaculate, boxed with all accessories.

This is an excellent tonearm, suitable for a wide range of cartridges. I found it a clear upgrade on a Jelco 750, frankly performing at another level in all respects. I was particularly impressed with its versatility, with appropriate headshells it successfully housed everything from high compliance moving magnets, right through to the lowest compliance SPUs and Miyajimas. Additionally, its 'fit and finish' is to a very high standard, particularly for the price range. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a 12 inch arm ... a real giant-killer.

In addition, I also have a spare (17 gram) Jelco HS-30 headshell, which is available to the buyer for an additional £70, if desired (useful for lower compliance cartridges).

Hi, I am interested in this as an upgrade to a 750L, which is the second arm on my turntable.

Can you tell me how old it is? To be totally honest, my preference at the moment would be for Ammonite's ex-demo unit that they are selling for £795 with a collar.

It was bought 15 months ago, from Ammonite Audio as it happens, as a second arm on my turntable ... it's still in immaculate condition.
Actually, I hadn't seen the one Hugo had up for sale ... suggest you go for it if you feel more comfortable buying from a dealer. I've had quite a few things from him over the years, and he's always given top service.

An excellent feature of this arm is the use of a well-engineered 'extendable' counterweight that allows everything from lightweight moving magnet cartridges to heavy SPUs to be balanced, without the need to change (or add extra) counterweights.
