Default Drop HIFIMAN HE4XX Planar phones for less than £180?

Does anyone have any experience of these?
I'm tempted but if you think my money is better off on something else please let me know!

Or these refurb'ed AKG K702 Open Back for 70 quid? Seem very highly rated.

If it's the same drivers as the old HE400 then I wouldn't recommend them, I had a pair years ago and didn't like the treble at all. Cymbals sounded very splashy and artificial for example. They were nice on the 500s though. The 400i were a different kettle of fish, very nice. In fact I've still got my pair although they're hardly used as I upgraded to the HE6 then LCD3.

400i's might be for sale shortly if there's any interest...

Curious but suspect they'll be out of my range!

No mate £150 plus postage, pretty much as new in box.

    Nice review in Hifi+

(Mine have the later improved mini jack sockets though, those coax ones were a pain in the bum).

HE-4xx have the same drivers as 400i, but the construction quality is better, with metal forks that don't break...

Is there any movement on this? Accepting offers at all?

Not sure it might be RM special delivery or UPS depending on weight and insurance options. UPS charges 5% insurance after the first £50. RM includes up to £500.
