Listening is the act of aural discrimination and dissemination of sound, and accepting you get it wrong sometimes.

Oh, that's a shame they would have probably end your speaker spinning days, but maybe you enjoy that, by the way what happened to the H2's that you had, I seem to remember they may have been mine once?

So, it's farewell to my lovely Tannoys: sale complete. I will miss them. So why did I let them go? I've got an accoustically difficult room and the Tannoys to breathe needed to be a little too far out in the room for aesthetic harmony. Also, I was always slightly peeved that I couldn't use my Cannonballs or Mastersound 845 monoblocs with them. Tannoys demand feedback /higher damping factor for good bass performance which neither monoblocs have.

So I've replaced them with some JBL K2 9800s which work better nearer the rear wall, and are narrower and taller. This reduces their footprint and means the tweeter is at ear height where the Tannoys was too low. Next test is to see if they work with the Mastersounds! The top end is very revealing, a bit like a pair of electrostatics!
