Default FS: Klipsch Kg4.5 with Bob Crites Upgrades

My cherished Klipsch KG4.5 Horn Stereo Speakers in Black. As new condition. £650 collected.

In fact they look like they've just rolled out the factory. There is not a single blemish I can find to either cabinet front, sides or back. The grille frames have no damage at all as do the grille cloths. The grilles attach to the cabs with magnets. All 6 magnets on both grilles work perfectly.

I've put them up for silly money on ebay expecting the obvious huge knock down offers but in the meantime I'll offer them to aos members for what I believe is their true value.

I bought these for £550 from the one previous owner from new and then spent £250 on upgrades which have made a significant improvement to their sound.

I've upgraded these speakers in two ways:

Firstly the standard horn diagphrams have been replaced with titanium ones which has improved the top end greatly. The highs are now less harsh than before and the whole sound is more cohesive.

Secondly I have replaced all the crossover caps with sonicaps. Again this opened up the sound and allowed more detail through almost like removing a veil.

Both upgrades were supplied by renowned Klipsch improver: Bob Crites so not only did I have to pay cost price but also shipping to blighty and import charges.

I have the original boxes for both speakers and each one weighs 27kg so posting is not possible. Please do bring any equipment you might want to try with these so you know how they will sound in your system.

Audition / Collection from South Darenth nr Dartford in a Kent (DA4)

I'm actually gutted to be selling these but they are just too big for my flat and not being used in the way they deserve to be.

    £650

Paul, you've said what you spent on these, but not how much the asking price is. It needs making clear.

It's at the bottom Geoff but can be easily missed I agree. I'll stick it at the top too.
