How often will you have heard it said of antibiotics: "Well I started to feel better so I stopped taking them". In this way the surviving bacteria could become immune surely? If I'm right then we should be better educated in their use. And doctors need to be prepared to write about their correct use and the consequences of not completing the course onto a piece of paper and staple it to the patient's forehead if they look like they may be a bit stupid.
