Just plugged the Croft micro back in after using a JVC ax z 1010 for a few months, and its not working, sound is distorted, using it with a 909, replaced the croft pre with a cheapy passive and that works, so fault is defo in the Croft.

Check the fuse, if not it's a valve.

I believe there is one for + and one for -.

it's mostly been the fuses in my experience. a blown fuse means heavy distortion.

Tried again and was working, then nothing, was using a Graham slee phone stage through line 1, changed to line 2 all fine. So what's up with line 1?
