Default Philips ah380 power amp into 2 ohms

I have an opportunity to buy one of these but the only place i could use it is my main system, with a matching pre BUT my impluse h2 speakers drop to 2 ohm in the base and 1970s japanese designs didnt typically have the current to drive such low impedances, go for it or walk away, just dont know on this. Heart says buy head says walk

I agree with your head but if it's at a price where you could move it on quickly without loss you could take a punt.

Power output: 100 watts per channel into 8Ω (stereo)

You may get away with 4 Ohms but I see problems with 2 Ohms

General concenus appears to be give it a miss or change the speakers :-( Power: 100 W at 8 ohms, 180W at 4 ohms, ??? at 2 ohms - melt down?
