    I'm Francesco.

    Default Hallo

I’m here for two reasons. I’m an hifi enthusiast and I would like to improve my english.
I’m writing from Rimini/Italy and I’m in love of the “sound” of the old kef 105 loudspeakers.
Sooner or later I would like to perform a visit to the Kef museum in Maidstone….for this reason the nickname.
I have more than 50 springs and the passion of music played takes me since I was a teenager.
I hear almost everything from the rock of 60es, also classic, jazz, fusion.
My favourite musicians is Pat Metheny Group but I’m exicited too with the Who or Pink Floyd, Miles Davies, Keith Jarreth, Mozart, Vivaldi and Beethoven….
After this first greeting I will provide to present my “hardware” in the “Gallery” section and specially my restored two pairs of 105 (mk1) in the vintage area (Past Masters) of the forum…
Be patient for my grammar errors…...I’m sorry for my poor english level.
    And Merry Christmas
    Francesco

Hi Francesco, if your english is bad you should hear my Italian! I know enough to get by as I have visited Italy many times. I have not been to Rimini, the nearest would be Pisa and Florence and maybe Rome?. I love Italy and will return at some time. Post some pics of your system and some of Rimini in the gallery section.

    Welcome. Rob.

Thank you for the hospitality Rob,
I have to delay the post where there are the photos and comment of my system cause the image hosting web that I use at this time doesn’t work (probably they take advantage of little web traffic during Christmas holiday to do maintenance of its web site “servimg.com”).
So when the service will be restored I will post….

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Thank you also Grant and Shane for the hospitality.
I've followed the instruction at the section "Notice board/how to..." and I've changed my web photo service support to "Imageshack".
So I managed to post in "The gallery" and "Past Masters"...

My Italian is great, a local restaurant, had spag bol and a nice wine there on Monday evening, there is an Italian delicatessen near to it, brilliant coffee and snacks at very reasonable prices.
