Default Got an itch for another valve amp

It's been a good while since I sold my px25 monoblocks and I've got an urge for another valve amp. In particular a Yamamoto A-08 45 type valve. I have 99db Lii audio crystal 10 speakers so my one concern is will a 2w valve amp control the 10" driver in the bass like a solid state does. Anyone have experience with Yamamoto or a similar value amp around £2000. It will also mean I would need to buy a phono stage and pre if I went for the Yamamoto.

I've heard one driving a pair of Avant-garde Trios with my musical choices, it was one of the best hifi experiences of my life! But driving a 10" woofer I can't say

    Hi Paul
Dave the Bass from Audio Talk is Local Person to you.
I'm sure he is a Low Watt Valve Amp and Horn Loudspeaker user.
I have met him on a few occasions and he is 'good egg'. very approachable and friendly.
He might be able to assist with your enquiry, if you make a contact.

Hi James, it's a 10" full range driver.

Just looked those up, as I wasn't familiar with them. The driver is extremely reminiscent of my old Coral Beta 10 units from nearly forty years ago.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

It seems I am registered on audio talk but don't remember my password, so requested a password and was sent one 54, yes 54 letters and numbers. Of course I entered those letters and numbers send it said it was incorrect. So bollocks to audio talk for sending such a ridiculous password.

I'd say 2w may be marginal with 99db.

I'll ask Nick to sort your account.

Nick says should be sorted now.

There are some great folk on Audio Talk, shame a frustration with a Password is the block on accessing their pearls of wisdom.
Ali has just shown the generosity of the Audio Talk community.
