    Default Intro

‘Lurked’ for a while! From sunny East Lothian and listen to new wave, indie rock, electronic and some classical, jazz etc when in the mood. Favourite band(S) New Order/Joy Division. Hoping to pick brains and contribute over time! Currently have an old Linn Majik amp, Karik CD and Keilidh speakers which I’m think about making aktiv, though my hearing is shot so not sure if it’s worth it Also have a project turntable with Cambridge pre/power amp set up in other room.

    Hello Brian. Welcome to AOS.

There are quite a few of us with dodgy hearing. Doesn't seem to detract from the enjoyment of Hi-Fi.

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

    Welcome to AoS Brian.

No, don't let your diminished hearing detract from your enjoyment of music.

Let us know how you get on with the 'aktivisation' of your speakers.

    Enjoy the Forum
