Default Fs. Floor standing speakers in Naim cabinets.

    Nice condition floor standing speakers.

The cabinets are Naim, but the drive units have been changed.

    Sound pretty good though.

    Asking £45 collected.

So which drive units are they, and which crossovers?

The main bass/mid is a Mordaunt Short 8 inch unit and the tweeter I understand is the same as used in some Monitor Audio speakers.

So they need integrating with the correct crossovers.
Can you enlighten us on which ones are used.

I use an original Mordaunt Short crossovers that came with the bass units.

I would be rather concerned about the loading of these speakers, as Naim use a particular system.
Were the Mordaunt Short units used in an infinite baffle cabinet, or a bass reflex one ?

If I recall, Naim used the Mordaunt Short DSB 208 driver, without the dustcap and a phase plug fitted. General parameters remained the same.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Geoff, above, is quite right. Naim used the exact same Mordaunt Short DSB208 drive unit in the very early version of the SBL speaker.
It is a versatile drive unit, historically used in several speaker systems and matched with different tweeters.

Naim later developed their own NAC-3718 drive unit. I believe this can still be bought from Naim at around £300+ per unit!

So, no problem with bass loading since the bass loading technique/principle used in these Intro cabinets is the same as the SBL's

Martyn, perhaps it is time for you to come and listen to them. It will take the guess work out of your opinion!!!!

Please also bear in mind, I'm offering these at £40 or even less. I feel this is reasonable!
