My father picked up a CXA60 fairly recently. Not a bad sounding amp for the money. Plays nicely, and doesn't overly draw attention to itself. Has enough thrust to drive most speakers that are modestly inefficient.

This is now replaced by the newer CXA61.

I’ve had my CXA60 for just over 2 years now and find it excellent, it outperformed my previous amp, a Yamaha AS501 by a considerable margin, for the money I think it takes some beating. The CXA61 is supposed to be better but at greater expense. A friend of mine had one for a while but has since had a Audiolab 6000A and now has a Rega Brio, he reckons they both shade the CXA60 but the difference is very small and in the end it’s all down to personal preference anyhow.
