    Default Ken Ishiwata

Just heard that Ken Ishiwata, Marantz's former brand ambassador and owner of the most colourful coat collection I've ever seen, has died.

    Very sad news.

That is sad. He was about my age, that's an early demise for a Japanese.

Blimey, that's sad and thanks for the info. He was a hifi man for sure.

His name as we know was branded on some of their kit as 'KI Signature'.

Loved my CD63 Ki Signature at the time as did so many other users.

    RIP Ken....

Ken's work was foundational in giving me access to the music I loved, I own a number of his designs and I am shocked. What a huge loss. Condolences to his family and friends.

Oh no! I was only reading some of his articles the other day. I have 3 of his Signature CD players and always loved his design philosophy. Very sad, RIP.
