FS: DIY Valve Phonostage with separate power supply.

I bought it from a friend in 2013. He believes the circuit is based on Audio Note (but couldn’t quite remember). I do however have the circuit diagrams and can email them if required / will email them anyway to the new owner.

He bought the phonostage in a single enclosure and then rebuilt it, upgraded it and put the power supply in a separate enclosure. "The Signal box has all solid silver 1mm point to point wiring (No PCB), polystyrene RIAA network, Nichicon FW, KZ and Fine Gold grade electrolytic capacitors handling the heaters and part of the signal. The Input signal caps are Clarity cap ERS poly film caps, and the output caps are Mundorf silver foil in oil caps"

Choice of valves which can be used:
(apologies for the masking tape)
Input 12AX7 and Output 12AX7 or
Input 12AX7 and Output 12AT7

I have used this successfully with high end Audio Technica MM cartridges, and also with a Cinemag SUT for LO MC’s. Reason for sale, I’ve bought an MC cartridge, and am going for a MC phonostage rather than buying a SUT again (though it does work well with a SUT).

This has passive equalisation and DC heaters so an excellent buy for someone wanting a valve phono stage.
