Default FS HiFi Man HE-560 Planar Magnetic Headphones

I purchased these headphones brand new from Amazon in September 2017 at a time when I thought I would like to get into using headphones. The reality is that I just haven't taken to using headphones at all and I would be surprised if they've even been used 20 times.

They are in excellent condition and come complete with original presentation box, headphone cable, user manual and shipping box. There seems little point in keeping such a high quality pair of headphones sitting unused in their box.

Some further information set out below:-

''Premium quality, full-size planar magnetic headphone designed for reference use in the home or studio

    Advanced Sound Technology
HI-FI MAN, the leader in planar magnetic headphone technology, has done is again and redefined how good planar driver technology can be.

    Power of the Magnetics
Using single-ended drivers, HE560 delivers a lifelike soundstage and spatial imaging that HIFIMAN is known for. Its increased efficiency allows it to be driven with a modest size amplifier.

    Lightweight & Comfortable
HE560 is 30% lighter than comparable headphone allowing the listeners to comfortably enjoy music for hours on end.

    Sense of Exuberance
Ebony-decorated earcups for a rich, classic look''

Current RRP for these is £659.

    Asking £400 ono plus postage.

I also purchased a black Lehmann Audio Linear Headphone amplifier when I got the headphones which I plan to offer for sale should the headphones be sold.

Listing revised to include the little used Lehmann Audio Linear headphone amp also in excellent condition complete with user manual and box.

Both items offered at £675 the pair plus postage.

Lehmann Linear amp now sold separately which leaves the headphones feeling lonely and searching for a new loving home...

Would accept £375 to include UK postage?

I am seriously tempted, but I don't have a specialised headphone amp, are they sensitive enough for use in an standard headphone socket, or would that be a bad idea?

    Peter,

In truth I am not at all knowledgeable or experienced with headphones, indeed as per my listing these were my first ever venture into the headphone arena. As I understand it, these particular headphones are likely to work from a standard headphone socket but will clearly perform much better from a quality separate headphone amp. According to the details I cut and pasted above it suggests these will work satisfactorily from 'a modest sized amplifier'....whatever that means.

I am sure if you were to give details of your current amplifier or the specifications of the headphone socket, there are plenty of folk on here or the other forums that would be able to offer more qualified assistance.

    John
