Default Hi, here comes a little greeting from winter Norway

    Hello

Like my title says, I am from Norway. I might add that I am a grown up man, a lover of good music but not able to play any instrument. Second best then must be a good stereo, right?

I used to build speakers from the age of twelve, funny I can still remember how I decided to build a pair of speakers that looked like JBL L300. For me those were the most beautiful speakers in the world. Anyway, I must have done something right, since a friend of mine came up and asked if he could buy them. (he already had a buyer for them and of course later became a business man) So I sold them, later I realized that the biggest fun was building speakers, listening to them came second. (Yes, I have ADHD) Of course, as I grew older, other hobbies came along, girls was fun, and no girl wanted to be my helper in the basement building speakers. Listening to music was ok though, so I thought why don't I just buy me a very big stereo, and combine the two tings(girls and music, of course) I think I was seventeen then, earning my own money, but I still needed to take a loan for what I had in mind. I made some investigations, asked a few people I knew had some knowledge. Then I bought my stereo, a Pioneer SA9900 integrated amp, Kenwood KD550 turntable and a pair of Bose 901 III. This was expensive stuff, nobody that I knew my age had anything near, for sure. And the sound was very nice, not the most sophisticated sound in the world but boy could those Bose speakers play loud and clear and the bass could almost tear down a house!

So this was a little about me, later I'll ask for some advice regarding a tricky crossover, but it has to be another time.

    Take care, and be nice.

    Welcome to AoS Baard,

Nice introduction, I fully approve of combining at an early age two interests: girls and music!

    Enjoy the Forum

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!
