Boxes were ordered from Wilmslow Audio, made to the specifications from Fostex who designed a bass reflex enclosure for smaller cabinets.
They have been oak veneered (top and sides only) with the fronts painted in a pink rose gold colour. Paint is both sprayed and done by brush (to the front only) to give almost a hammered finish. Looks very cool when about a foot and a half away onwards. Any closer and you will see the imperfections to the veneer being applied. An 8.5 out of 10 job.
Drivers - baskets have been dampened with neoprene matting as well a 6mm closed cell foam applied to the basket and rear magnet.
Box - some 6mm closed cell foam applied to the back, top and sides (not total coverage, maybe 40%) to absorb internal reflections. This has gone a long way to tame the Fostex forwardness in the mid to top frequencies. A nice balance at the moment
Cable is by Jantzen - silver plated copper with PTFE dielectric.
Binding posts are pure copper gold plated types by Eizz.
Lovely speakers for those who enjoy single driver presentations.
Not of use anymore as moved system to a much smaller room.
