Default Wanted: Bent Audio/Tribute passive volume control

I've been doing a lot of research and would like to try an AVC in my system. Let me know if you have one for sale.

    Matt,

I have a Bent Audio NOH which I might be selling. I can give more details of inputs/outputs later if you are interested. Unusually it has a remote control, using a universal remote, which was installed when new (as far as I know) although the remote sensor on the remote pcb needs replacing. I have the requisite spare part that Jon Chapman sent me but haven't had it fitted yet, but the central volume control and input selector buttons all work fine. It has its own DC transformer/PSU which is only used to power the remote as it is a passive. It has a black acrylic/perspex cover. I haven't thought about price yet but it would be around £1200 as these are sought after.
Looks like the one in the photo (link below) but with a flat black acrylic cover to hide the bare metal top. From memory, it has an earth lift switch. I am pretty sure it is the copper version (not silver) which i believe JC prefers.
I have used it very successfully in a number of systems for several years. It is absolutely (black) quiet.

Let me know if interested and i will send more info.

Hi Neil thanks for your message. I am only interested in an AVC not a TVC. Also as this is my first foray into a passive control I don’t want to spend more than £800.

I have a passive pre with Intact Audio (Dave Slagle) autoformers (AVC), 3 inputs, fully dual mono volume control with each channel having separate coarse and fine adjustment.

Sadly can't give it for £800.... 1200 EUR would be a minimum of minimums. Can deliver in person in London end of Nov.

Buy the Slagle autoformers from Intact Audio, they are only 200 dollars a pair, and build your own pre. Will be able to do it for less than your budget.

The prices are a bit different, if you want to do things proper, a pair of mono axs with elma hardware is currently $1000 +++++

I was going to suggest this.

If you want it be a true passive just make it a stepped Attenuator in a box with a switch for inputs. I built one recently (minus the switch as only needed the single input) and it sounds great.

I used a cheap Dale stepped attenuator total cost £60 with aluminium case and gold plated rca sockets.
