Kinda reminds of when we were kids, how a cardboard box could create as much interest as the thing inside it! But seriously, having just received yet another damaged hifi unit (despite advising the sender very clearly about the need for proper packaging) I am a big 'fan' of proper boxes for shipping. People seem to think that a couple of inches of bubble wrap is sufficient to protect a VERY heavy object from damage when being roughly loaded (chucked) in and out of depots and trucks. It isn't. You need a large, well oversize box and at least four inches of firm padding all around with special attention paid to corners.
