Hmm. I'd have lifted that when I was younger and I'm only a little guy. Mind you, as a mason pavior, I was a skilled kerb stone layer, laid miles of the stuff and used to cart granite kerb around each day. That weighs 1 hundredweight per foot on average.

We've got a few old kerbstones lying around; they're solid lumps, great for lifting but they bite; sharp edges that cut right into you!

I've pressed the 110kg kerbstone we've got overhead, but won't rush to do it again haha

Yeah but too square/too many edges and too easy to lift...

Big round stones are nasty, generally smooth as hell and like to slip around; bit like this:

That little lump weighs 154kg and can be a swine to lift at times as it's quite polished; it's 20kg heavier than I am!

I've already seen the show thanks; it was on Youtube via the History channel and TBH it was a bit embarrassing... I'm not Hall's biggest fan, Shaw's a good guy, Oberst is a bit pathetic really and only really a strong presser, everything else 'hurts'

Wow, when I was young and single, that first line is word-for-word my philosophy when chatting up the laydees…

Back to the crap weather - Was in the Lake District today, it was a cloudy 3c, with a bit of white stuff atop Saddleback and the Coniston Fells. You could just about make out the odd hardy soul dotting the peaks. Some right nutters out there
