Tim, if you dont know this guy, or his music, just go to You Tube and type in his name.

Anything that comes up will be a fair representation of his music. It is all done to the same sugary, contrived formula.

I just did that and came up with this . It makes me feel queasy !!!

    Hi Fi makes you poor

I remember that day, but not the string laces thing.
You may have felt poor that day, but I felt loaded after you had gone!!!

Hope it is still giving you pleasure. It was a great cartridge

It was a fantastic Cart, changed everything for me, and I thank you for that - unfortunately the tip was cleaned off by the 'other half'
I tried a few others before I finally traded up the tipless Cadenza - I don't know what I'll do if anything happens to the present one!!

I dont know Warren G, but if you mean Warren Hill, then I dont mind him at all.
A similar vibe to Kenny G, but somehow I find it a lot less vomit inducing. And he can play !!!

Kind of a modern sax playing equivalent of James Last then?

I don't think Kenny knows where the 'G' spot is - His fingering might be accomplished but he doesn't seem to have the technique or feeling that is required

Actually, he does play the instrument well.

It’s just what he does with it.

He plays the same stuff ( melodically and harmonically ) over and over, or with slight variations. It’s contrived and played with only one thought, which is to be as cheesy, appealing and as commercial as is possible.

Which in many ways is fine. He is probably the best know sax player in the world, and quite probably the richest. Hence the most successful.

It’s just the thinking behind it sticks in my gullet. For me, it is formulaic music at its worst.

Probably influenced in his formative years by Status Quo.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I can only listen to Kenny when I 'run along walking cross the rooftops in my chair'
