This unit is new to me purchased from a PF member as damaged , He managed to snap off a RCA connector
using over tight RCA plugs , I will try it with my Croft 25R and my Albarry 1108 both have volume controls

May be of interest, GC advised me to stick a 12bh7a in the line stage of the 25r to reduce impedence when driving the 909. Got one I can let you try if you want but won't be able to post till Monday as I'm away. Anyhoo, worth a mention ;-). Lovely amp the 909.

    Default Albarry vs. Quad 909

Audio Al, I know it's an old thread, but did you ever manage to compare the M1108's to the 909?

Love to know which one came up tops!
