New here. Lover of music and obscure hi fi. In recent years have gone down a bit of a electrostatic rabbit hole. Have been running a set of Acoustat Model 3’s from a pair of Musical Fidelity amps, paired with some homemade open baffle, dipole subwoofers, running from an active crossover and a separate dedicated power amp.
Great fun, but the arrival of a little one means that I am looking to size down to a more compact system, involving fewer boxes that appeal to small hands. Will be centred around the same Musical Fidelity amps, a recently acquired Chord Chordette Gem DAC (which is actually excellent!) and a pair of bookshelf or stand mounted speakers.
The speakers I am still on the lookout for, which is what has brought me here... Nice to meet you all!
