    in the song weller can clearly be heard saying radio 1 dj's names.
    from 1.45 min he mentions mike reed and again at 2.23,then at 2.38 he shouts peter powel! lol

    I was 5 when Carpenter's Calling Occupants was on the radio all the time. I was sure they were saying calling octopus. Not really close I was just very small at the time!

    Some obvious ones are:

    Jimi Hendrix - "'scuse me while I kiss this guy" (rather than "'scuse me while I kiss the sky")

    The Jam - "Eating trifles" (for "Eaton rifles")

    The Police - "Sue Lawley" (instead of "So lonely")

    John Martin - "Walking on sausages" (a result of Martin slurring the words "Walking on solid air")
