Writing is what I did for a living and is what I now do as a hobby/study thing. Writing loads of shit on forums actually helped me when writing my thesis, though the forums were at times a distraction from what I was supposed to be doing. I enjoy arguing the toss, and posting on a variety of forums gives me lots of things to argue about!

Contrary to what you may think this isn't only happening in tabloid headlines, it's in real life. Our Christmas tree at work was taken down in case it offended non Christians, yet perversely my employer provides prayer mats and has a prayer room set aside, complete with a diagram indicating the direction of Mecca. Care to rationalise that?
I don't care to rationalise it. Your employer is clearly an idiot.
