    Default speaker connections

Speakers with 2 sets of connections on the back for speaker cable, one LF the other HF - do I need connectors between them if I only want to use the standard one amp (i.e. not bi-wire)?

Yes I wouldn't be tempted by these manufacturers claiming their links sound better, it's two inches of wire for gawd's sake. (Now awaiting the wrath of the pro-cable brigade)
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

T/T: Inspire Monarch, X200 tonearm, Ortofon Quintet Blue. Phono: Project Tube Box CD: Marantz CD6006 (UK Edition); Amp: Musical Fidelity A5 Integrated.
Speakers: Zu Omen Def, REL T9i subwoofer. Cables: Atlas Equator interconnects, Atlas Hyper 3.0 speaker cables

    T'other system:
Echo Dot, Amptastic Mini One,Arcam A75 integrated, Celestion 5's, BK XLS-200 DF

    A/V:
LG 55" OLED, Panasonic Blu Ray, Sony a/v amp, MA Radius speakers, REL Storm sub

Forget the past, it's gone. And don't worry about the future, it doesn't exist. There is only NOW.

I agree. It will make little difference what wire/cable is used.

Strip a bit of copper solid core mains cable and cut it to size. It'll work just fine.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

I have the mincer ready to accept your goolies

Agreed, any old length of wire WILL DO THE JOB, but at least make sure it isn't thin poor quality stuff like bell wire and no need for anything expensive either.

What you should not use is the "gold plated" flat metal bent straps that are made from brass, or worse still QED Silver Anniversary which at even a few inches long utterly destroys the sound.

Or strip more insulation off your speaker cable and feed it through both terminals
