thanks , a long story some may remember years ago . needless to say i am a bit wary of couriers
ou might slip, you might slide, you might
Stumble and fall by the road side
But don't you ever let nobody drag your spirit down
Remember you're walking up to heaven

Don't let nobody turn you around
… Walk with the rich, walk with the poor
Learn from everyone, that's what life is for
And don't you let nobody drag your spirit down

Yodel seem to have a policy of deliberately kicking every box to ensure that the contents are damaged - or maybe they drop them from ceiling height! Many couriers do the door run trick, ring the bell at the same time as putting a note through the letter box telling you that they attempted to do a delivery, then run like the blazes so you don't see or catch them. Then usually a pain to follow up.

As I recall you can send a turntable using various couriers, e.g. UPS, DPD via Parcel2Go and declare it is a tt and insure - but then, if you look, you’ll find tt’s are on the list of articles that cannot be insured. What I’m trying to say is they let you pay the insurance even though it will turn out to be useless. So do be careful.
I stand to be corrected on this but that’s certainly the way I read it last time I looked.
(Having said that I’m sure none of you are silly enough to send a tt via courier anyway)

That's right it does say you should read the list of excluded articles before paying. The description is a free text field in case something goes wrong, they don't have banks of humans waiting at head office to read the details of every purchase to check for exceptions, they let the purchaser do that. It's always been clear to me. But I still don't bother checking

I've sent loads of parcels with Hermes and received a few delivered by them as well. I've never had so much of a squeak of a problem.
Yodel, bloody YODEL, arranged a parcel to be picked up and the time slot was 7am - 7pm with no show. Phoned parcel 2 go and said they would pick it up the next day, same time slot......no show. Not a phone call or any communication. I phoned parcel 2 go, absolutely livid and they arranged another courier, picked up, no problem. I asked the operator at parcel 2 go why they use such a shambles of a company as I had read up the thousands of complaints about them.
They are cheap, she replied....what good is cheap if they don't turn up?
    Honestly, never....ever use Yodel......a joke.
