I've been awake for an hour or more - maybe two or even two and a half hours.

People who don't sleep well apparently don't live so long, on the whole. This concerns me, though I'm now starting to outlive many others.

See sources such as this one - https://www.theguardian.com/books/20...-walker-review

Actually, reading it might put you to sleep.

Hi folks, been up since 5, sitting with a cat on my lap, listening to music through headphones and posting a couple of jokes in the Funnies section

It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Managed to sleep in a not very comfortable bed, too soft, in hotel in Aberystwyth. Woke at 12:15 as too hot, had cuppa and got back to sleep, might have been due to the 5 hour drive and early start yesterday. Back home early this morning.
