I always wake up 2 or 3 times during the night, and the cause is usually cramp in one leg or the other, or needing a pee. My bowels should have a word with bladder - they thoughtfully leave me be until breakfast time
Mrs P reckons the cramp is due to not enough fluids or too much salt. I don't believe this and haven't found anything to support this theory online, and when I tried drinking more I just needed to get up for a pee more often. I really can't win
Reading my book gets me back to sleep quite easily though, once the cramp has subsided. And I really should try them nappies that Marco swears by. If they really can hold in his number twos, they must be pretty good

i used to suffer badly from lower leg cramps, especially at night.. doc then put me on quinine for a period and it went away. came back again another time and it used it again and again it worked. proof enough for me.I always wake up 2 or 3 times during the night, and the cause is usually cramp in one leg or the other, or needing a pee. These are listed and one talked about swelling in tongue/throat, best to talk with your GP, as is a Calcium blocker, it seems these class of drugs can have more side affects than others see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calcium_channel_blocker
