    We had a later model - a bit nicer than the **** one which keeps popping up in this thread. Didn't have the split windscreen. I think it did about 30 mpg - but got us round Spain and back. Struggled a bit over 50 mph, and up steep hills. I used it to commute to work at one time. Nowadays I'd think that's a waste of petrol - but we didn't worry so much in those days.
