I don't seem to generate inordinate amounts of refuse or recycling. I've not needed to go to the tip this year either. I do burn stuff though, nobody has objected yet.
It is impossible for anything digital to sound analogue, because it isn't analogue!

Honestly though, there's the two of us, and three cats-worth of used cat litter (in bags) to contend with, and we very rarely fill a black bin to its full point, so could easily cope with fortnightly collections. We just don't buy a lot of stuff with packaging on it, that's all. Same with our wheeled 'three-tier' recycler bin. The only thing that gets really full with is wine bottles!

Oh and put your bin out the night before collection is due (like we do), and you'll miss hee--haw... It's called being organised!

    Marco.
I can get by with a once a month collection, especially since the neighbours moved out and I can use their bin too....

I hardly generate anything really. It's just the thought of all that stuff rotting in there, especially when the weather turns warm like today.

I did make a mental note to put the bin out last night, but thought I'd have my tea first and then I forgot. Usually I'd be up in time to put it out this morning but they came extra early.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Shame it was a dream as I quite fancied the VHS camcorder. There were also some of the missing components to my 'Fisher' stack system which I was pleased about.
What did you do with the hamster?

I don't reckon you only dream just before you wake up, it's just that the pre-waking dream is the only one you remember. And after a couple of hours that one will also bugger off back to your subconscious.

That's because most folk put their rubbish in bin bags, while you offload yours in 'Abstract Chat' posts

Yeah that's what I meant. Sometimes you have a dream, wake up, have a drink of water, go back to sleep and go back into the same dream. A bit like when they used to have the interval in long films. So it's obviously going on all night, off and on.
