There was a young man from Bombay
Who made a cunt out of clay
But the heat from his prick
    Turned the clay into brick
And wore all his foreskin away.

I have rigged up a little headphone system for just such occasions. This consists of a Marantz CDP/Int amp and a vintage Sony turntable. Positioned conveniently alongside an old beat up settee in me cave it is nocturnal heaven whilst my good lady sleeps blissfully unaware. Got to admit i rarely eat during the night and a cup of Yorkshire is my hardest tipple. Although i find it frustrating not being able to sleep i actually enjoy these dark aural/audio events.

If you're anything like Anita, it's hard to not do "too much". The feeling of idleness brings its own stresses. People will say "You need to slow down, take it easy", but for folk who are used to keeping busy that's easier said than done. That old work ethic thing.

She will have an unnecessarily busy day, then she's wiped out for a couple of days. I'd help more, but apparently I'm "not doing it right" She quite often does tasks in the wee small hours when she can't sleep, and there's no way I'm helping with that one
I just dropped in, to see what condition my condition was in

T/T: Inspire Monarch, X200 tonearm, Ortofon Quintet Blue. Phono: Project Tube Box CD: Marantz CD6006 (UK Edition); Amp: Musical Fidelity A5 Integrated.
Speakers: Zu Omen Def, REL T9i subwoofer. Cables: Atlas Equator interconnects, Atlas Hyper 3.0 speaker cables

    T'other system:
Echo Dot, Amptastic Mini One,Arcam A75 integrated, Celestion 5's, BK XLS-200 DF

    A/V:
LG 55" OLED, Panasonic Blu Ray, Sony a/v amp, MA Radius speakers, REL Storm sub

Forget the past, it's gone. And don't worry about the future, it doesn't exist. There is only NOW.

Yes it’s a bit of a roller coaster, not nice for anyone with a heart condition, I’m trying to level it out as much as possible as I am returning to work on reduced hours, but it’s not going too well, a coupe of days and then I’m screwed. I may need to re-think things.

What is it you do Adrian, isn't it something to do with IT, or am I getting you mixed up with someone else? Can the work not come to you? In manageable portions?
