Interesting - but don't overdo the valerian. There seem to be many warnings about it in this article - https://www.drugs.com/mtm/valerian-root.html
    Is that over-reacting? I don't know.

Once or twice in the past I had disgusting colds and could hardly breathe. I found that if I had cough medicine PLUS vodka that I went to sleep and felt better. I did this at first without thinking, but then read the instructions. Seems that what I did was a complete No-No, and I shouldn't have done that.

However, when I felt the same some while later, I repeated the "experiment" with the same effects. I would probably do so again, if I felt it might work. I would however have to feel pretty bad in the first place, and perhaps I'd ask someone else to keep an eye on me in case things got even worse. Though when I "discovered" this the first time I was actually on my own - looking after myself.

Oops. Like most blokes I don’t read instructions. Perhaps I should.

Still on a positive note at least strange dreams are a recognised side effect. I seem to already suffer from the other known side effects.. and that’s without taking it.

No.. it’s easy to be flippant, and one should take care with these things.

Lol - I must be the only one then who always reads them - especially when it could affect my health! Luckily, the only tablets I take is (very occasionally) paracetamol, for the odd headache, which I get if I go too long without eating or drinking and become dehydrated.

Don't take any chances with your well-being, folks - remember the old (and very true) saying: your health is your wealth!

The side effects described on medications are usually a 'catch all' and generally (but not always) read similarly regardless of which type, presumably for liability reasons.

I occasionally use Tesco 'Sleep Aid', which contains Valerion and find no side effects apart from slight drowsiness after waking in the morning.

    Marco.
im on al lot of meds and always have a read as my docs are not perfect... But ive been on the ones im on for a long time and can predict how they affect me, and when etc.
Its when i get something new, usually temporary but sometimes a change that i have to be wary as docs often dont read the labels either

Probably all the more enjoyable because you were supposed to be elsewhere (ie, in bed). Last time I gave myself a day off "French Connection" was on telly and it was even better because I was meant to be at work
