All cut to size, they just need bolting up, oiling and fixing now. Unfortunately that will be delayed slightly as some idiot (me) forgot to allow for the thickness of the worktops when he put the pipework in place so the tap flexi connectors are 40mm too short.

Not to worry, it's still looking great! Thought you'd gone all shy on us there for a bit...

And is that a Belfast sink I see? Great minds

Much as we love wood, we went for granite worktops around the sink area, as we felt that when wood there inevitably gets wet, it might eventually discolour.

Tell me about it, mate. I remember lifting ours into position - and for a Belfast sink, ours is tiny...

Keep an eye on the wood around the sink area where it gets wet, and try and keep it as dry as possible, as I've seen quite a lot of black discoloured wood around kitchen sinks, happening through time, and which beforehand like yours, looked lovely!

Got any more updates, Gary - is the kitchen finished yet or what?

Meanwhile in ours (in the window), my wife made this for Halloween:

Looks kind of spooky, with the way the lights are reflecting off the glass!
