I'm Kee.
I have had more than half a dozen of the 103 over the years, but haven't bought one in the last 10 years. I have had the GL since 2001, a purchase in Japan. I can't say how many hours it has had but I have not had it mounted for any sustained period. I last tested it two years or so ago and it played without discernible distortion of any shape or form. It was mounted on a Well Tempered.
These things do command a value; I have no idea what you would peg to it. I do agree that US900 on ebay is outrageous.

Hi Jo,
Have you seen this post from Kee?
That is, I presume Kee is hinting that he would be willing to sell it at the right price!
Marco.

I know what you mean, but you have to consider (at least certainly in my experience) that a 103SA is as good as some MC cartridges costing three times that amount, if you value what it's about, sonically and musically - and few of them would trump it at what it does best!
It's a veritable giant-killer, and a prime example of only what the 'big boys (such as Denon), can do, through economies of scale, together with utilising their extensive experience and resources. And the GL comes into the same category
