I have an ESCo rebuilt Denon 103 with their sapphire cantilever and paratrace tip upgrade. It's my spare; I have another 103C-1 with the same upgrade. The spare hasn't been used since coming back from Wyndham earlier this year - still in its jewel box. Definitely within your budget and cheaper than an SPU.
