For sale: Thorens td124 mkii
I bought this a few months ago as I’ve always wanted to try a Thorens - sounds great with the SME arm and Dynavector Karat cart but I’m just not getting enough free time at the moment to do it justice. Have given it a very quick check over and re-oiled the main bearing. It’s in an original generic open box plinth with Perspex lid. Would need to be collection only.The SME looks to be an early S2 with a detachable headshell. I’ve also got some Hanze Hifi E45 motor springs that can be fitted to reduce motor noise. Paint work is in excellent original condition and the cart has low hours. Will probably regret selling it but it needs someone who can lavish more time and attention on it to get it really singing.
