    Oh no.. KFC!!

Not the nicest of places dude, away from the stunning beach areas, is it? In the towns, it tends to look a little 'grim'... Seems to be a common theme in these countries.

It’s about a mile up the road from where we’re staying. We were at a loose end with the weather being a bit crap so decided to go for a walk, we got as far as the kfc and turned back. Will revisit the car museum, that’s only 5 minutes away.

No worries, and enjoy. My point though was that in these types of countries it seems to be the case that the stunning beach areas are almost a 'separate world', and which have all the money spent on them for tourists, but the bits where the locals live are usually rather run down, and often dirty looking/dishevelled.

That's one of the things I prefer about holidaying in western Europe: the towns and cities are usually rather more 'sorted' and look like they're part of the 21st century, rather than a backward third world, not of course that that doesn't have a certain charm, and is still worth seeing.

Anyway, look forward to seeing pics of the car museum!

    Marco.

I get the impression the locals here like it that way.

Oistins, where we went for the fish fry, was really ‘scruffy’ but had a certain charm. All the locals were happy, well dressed & really friendly.

We’re going to grab an early breakfast and head back into Bridgetown today, hopefully my other half won’t try and pick a fight with the bus driver.
