Does this have the MM phono stage built in?

    Thanks.

Thanks for confirming - have you tried it? Interested to hear what PS Audio Phono stage is like?

i have had it a few weeks and used it a bit in that time, although I am listening to a pretty modest vinyl set up these days. I liked the phono stage. it is very competent in my set up.

I bought it as part of a (sensible?) plan to downgrade the size and cost of my set for a period of time. it is an excellent little alrounder for not a lot of money.

if you get down this way, you are welcome to try it...

Thanks Richie - would love to try it but I very rarely get south of the River (live in Cambridge).

I'm looking for something like you suggest, to downsize my box count and physical size of stuff in my office (currently using an old Sony ES amp and Goggle Chromecast with a ProJect Turntable and some Triangle Floorstanders).

Can I ask what speakers you used with it? I'd probably put some smallish bookshelves on my desk with the option of my REL Sub Zero to bass boost if needed.

    Tannoy Eatons and Royd Minstrels.

The bass boost was WAY too much with the eatons, but sounded good through the Minstrels. I ended up with it set to off the whole time.

    So some nice speakers then...

I'd probably try my Royd Edens which I like but do find a tad light on the bass.

When paired with my bel canto I added the REL Sub Zero to give me a little more bottom end however the Bass Boost on the Sprout might be enough then.

Food for thought - I take it the DAC is great as with all PS Audio items

I heard this amp a couple of years back. If i remember, it was being marketed as a system with ELAC bookshelf speakers. Sounded very good!
