It’s not the music running on WiFi but the control.
Same thing when my phone connects to a different WiFi point..if it ain’t the same one the pi is connected to then it won’t control it. Thanks

Ok.. my pi’s are all connected by Ethernet, on one network.
The control of them (I have 3, with 2xvolumio and one MOode).

All controlled by my iPhone which connects via WiFi to the specific network.

However because I have a wireless access point as well as router my phone sometimes connects to either.

One will run volumio or MOode (actually my WAP). If it connects to this all is well.

If it connects to the router, then it won’t see volumio or MOode.

Ok, I think you talking about Sharepoint not a dedicated cable connection with a dedicated address.

I can assure you that Roon and others, including Volumio will work far better with a hard wired address.

Wi-Fi is total crap..... even with full fiber connection (as I have it) !

Perhaps you know better than I !

As a non IT engineer I haven’t explained this well at all.’
    Let me try again.

So I have a Wireless Access Point (WAP)in the sitting room which I have connected Ethernet cable to and runs all my Pi’s.

The WAP is connected to the router which sits in a room upstairs.

Both have their own wireless access which have different passwords and IP addresses.

So great if my phone connects to the WAP wireless
However if my phone connects to my router then it’s not the same network.

    Hope this is clearer
