    Default Very interesting new turntable

A friend of mine emailed me about a new turntable recently released, the Schiit Sol, the Youtube video link I’ve included shows a very in depth setup of this new deck, it’s the first deck I’ve seen which enables arm height/VTA adjustments on the fly while playing a record, it has an 11” carbon fibre tubed unipivot arm whose wiring plugs into the arm base enabling the user to be able to have more than one arm/cartridge combination, the engineering looks first rate and it looks a steal at £650

Looks a bit of a fiddle to set up.
There is no dust cover. Certainly not top of my list.

The Technics SL1200 allows on the fly VTA adjustment.

I agree about the setup, it’s about as far from plug n play as you can get, an enthusiast and fiddlers delight though.
From what I’ve heard from other Technics owners the arm base doesn’t go low enough for most cartridges.
