Just had the CMOS clock upgrade. A very worthwhile improvement. The subjective impressions given by Stan in post 5 are spot on. If you are thinking about the upgrade I encourage you just to do it. You won't be disappointed.

How much is the clock upgrade on it’s own?

The CMOS clock upgrade is a combination of several upgrades, not just the clock. It comes to £55, which includes return postage to a UK address. It's €70 for AoS members on the continent in the EU.

I have just had this done to my SEG. While it was there I asked Stan to upgrade the RCA sockets as well.
I have the new Kyocera clocks fitted, and I am currently playing a CD through the SEG, and I don’t remember it sounding as good before.

In my opinion, it is a subtle, but good improvement. I will be comparing to another DAC I use, which sounded very similar before. I have a feeling that the gap in performance may be a bit wider now.

I would also like to thank Stan for a really quick, hassle free service. Top notch customer service, as always.
