I use Russ Andrews Monocle X speaker cable and it has put to bed quite a few speaker cables that cost a lot more. I have a Silencer mains block in my 2nd system and it's staying there. Mains Zapperators, 4 of them in my main system, brilliant bits of kit and 2 sets of speaker Zapperators. 1 set on each system and other people have tried them on there systems.......then gone out and bought them. I also have 2 Kimber 1 metre lengths of D60 digital interconnects that have easily beaten more expensive cables. I also have 2 Quantum Symphony's that are rather good.
He usually offers a money back guarantee, if you are not happy you get your money back.
I've always had good service, even replacing a power supply for a Quantum Symphony, 5 years after I bought. It came next day delivery as well.
If you are not happy with his gear, don't buy it.
I wish him all the best in his endeavours.

"and the very best of luck to the man...He started with nowt and was sneered at about his take on cables and mains products....who is having the last laugh? "

    Him, and at our expense.

I did get a refund, and I think he sulked.

Everything we buy, is bought from someone.

And you got a refund after using the item you purchased? Thats very generous of the man, but as any company knows, dealing with returns is costly, and therefore there is an element of sulking from any business.

I support what others have said, he saw a market, he made products, people bought products, people are happy with products. Thats how commerce works so fair play to him in my book. I wouldnt buy his products, too expensive for me, but we have a choice to buy or not to buy.

I'm not sure giving people the chance to try things out first is pure generosity, I imagine it's a tactic to increase sales. But I agree with the general point you make.

The early Kimber Kable 4TC and 8TC were great value cables. The new ones like the Select are crazy prices IMHO

I bought a digital cable from RA and when it turned up I realised it needed a specialist plug at one end. I rang them and they arranged for me to return it so they could replace the plug, all at no extra cost. Great service.

Some of the gear is ridiculously expensive though.

But no, in the brand new RA catalogue, there it is.

    A 3.6 metre pair.

    £37,800,00 !
    WTAF????

I was at the local Mercedes dealership last week and you could pick up a highly spec’d ex demonstration E Class for less than that!

Or 3 Rolex Daytona’s which will gain in value as oppose to lose money as soon as you buy the cable!

Am I on my own thinking the asking price for this wanky wire is OTT?
Good luck Craig getting 3 Daytona's for that price...

Quite easily, ok, there’s a couple of hundred pounds in it, but a bit of haggling has seen me get a decent discount.
