Sorry Marco, I'm sure Wrexham is great (appears to have it's own micro climate anyway).

Off to Barbados on Tuesday, been difficult deciding what watches to take.

Lol - only if I drink enough wine!!

Rio does seem like an interesting place to visit (like the vids and recent fab pics you've posted), but if I'm honest there are other places I'd rather see first, which would be more my cuppa. I prefer being out in the sticks, well away from crowds, and don't really 'do' beaches, plus I like traditional architecture more than modern.

At the end of the day, we all enjoy different things

    Marco.

Yes it does, which I find rather interesting. Honestly, you can go a mile down the road, and it's pissing with rain, then return to Wrexham and it's dry and/or sunny! Happens all the time... Weird.

Anyway Roy-boy, enjoy your holiday, and most of all stay safe!

    Marco.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

I think we spent a total of about 4 hours on the beaches. We aren't beach people.

We were out in the sticks in Joa.

Anyway, there's always somewhere else/better. You gotta pick somewhere.

    Yes, I remember it well

And even when it rains here, almost never is it for a whole day. When we get rain, it's usually overnight, then dry in the morning, or it's raining in the morning and continues throughout the afternoon, but dries up at teatime. Between 5-7pm, for some reason, it's usually dry and sunny.

Whereas when I lived in Glasgow, it could rain for days on end, without ever getting bright [a constant, rather depressing 'gloom' pervaded] - and that was during the summer!

Lol - the *only* thing that matters dude, is that you guys had a ball! What we think about any of it is irrelevant.
