Sounds like a good day Marco, currently sitting in Audi Glasgow as my car is being serviced, after lovely drive up in the rain.

Nice one, Robin. Do they serve decent coffee?

I'm not big on using main dealers for servicing, as you tend to pay through the nose for the same job that could be done by a good independent garage.

“Nothing discloses real character like the use of power. It is easy for the weak to be gentle. Most people can bear adversity. But if you wish to know what a man really is, give him power. This is the supreme test. It is the glory of Lincoln that, having almost absolute power, he never abused it, except on the side of mercy".

“You see these dictators on their pedestals, surrounded by the bayonets of their soldiers and the truncheons of their police ... yet in their hearts there is unspoken fear. They are afraid of words and thoughts: words spoken abroad, thoughts stirring at home -- all the more powerful because forbidden -- terrify them. A little mouse of thought appears in the room, and even the mightiest potentates are thrown into panic.”

"You don't have free will. You have the appearance of free will.”

“There's a war out there, old friend. A world war. And it's not about who's got the most bullets. It's about who controls the information. What we see and hear, how we work, what we think... it's all about the information!”

Unfortunately the coffee is not great. I have a service plan with Audi from when I bought the car last year, once it’s out of warranty will look elsewhere. No doubt they will find something although it’s also in for a recall on something.

Ah I see, no worries. Hope all goes well.

When the service plan is up, defo use and good independent garage you can trust, as you'll save a fortune on servicing. With the Brabster, I buy all the necessary 'bits' and give it to the garage concerned [I'm fussy about what's put in, especially oil], which a friend of mine owns, and so only pay him for the labour

Opposite here, Geoff. Rained overnight, but just got up and it's bright and sunny! 13C. Think it's due to rain later...

Wait until the remnants of hurricane Dorian eventually make their way across the Atlantic in a week or so. Then we'll see some rubbish weather Marco. Flooding and storms are not uncommon in September.

Yup, then it'll be time to batten down the hatches and hibernate!
